Merced

Named after the Merced River running though Yosemite Valley because the river is reborn every spring with the thawing of the winter snows

Being a Phoenix Hunter, Merced is a great fighter, but she also has a soft side. Here she is offering a fish to Valind, a hawk who belongs to Farlyn. Valind is based off of a Ferruginous hawk. Anyway, Merced can be very possesive when it comes to things she consideres hers. Much like the actual river, Merced has her calm moments but rapids are never far away. Merced also means mercy, which this one is no stranger to if you can prove to her you deserve it.

Special Ability: Flash-fire (light up areas, self defense by blinding. Looks like exploding but not)
Fire Type: Green spirit fire (able to burn and heal injury/forest)

Waterfall in the background is referenced from a picture of Vernal Falls in Yosemite My most favorite hiking trail and waterfall of all time :3

With these two interacting...a meeting with Farlyn is not far off...I wonder how each will take to each other with Valind in the middle of it all x)
