Between Two Worlds
Golden sands formed rolling dunes as far as the eye could see, rippling in the sunlight that drenched the land in heat. Shrubs dotted the dunes in various places, creating little shadowy havens for lizards and other small animals to dart between in search of food. Sometimes they would find what they sought, and other times they were the ones being found by predators waiting in the shade to strike, letting their meals come to them instead.
A slight breeze picked up, blowing the sands across the desert sea and hiding any tracks left by the fleeting life that called the deserts home. The only truly visible life was that of two wyverns,
